Who processes your data

The controller is Synaptic s. r. o., Baka 530, 930 04 Baka, Slovak Republic, company ID 57302952, tax ID 2122651278, VAT ID SK2122651278.

For anything related to data protection, reach us at info@synaptic.sk or +421 914 55 33 22.

What we process and why

Contact form: your name, e-mail address, subject and message. We use them solely to reply to you and arrange possible cooperation. The legal basis is pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Site traffic: measured with Umami running on our own server. It uses no cookies, does not track you across websites, and the data is aggregated from the start – we cannot tie it back to an individual visitor.

Technical errors: when the site fails, we record the circumstances of the error including the IP address so that we can fix it.

Abuse protection: we keep your IP address in the server memory for a short time so that nobody can send messages through the form endlessly. The form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies that a human is filling it in – it uses no tracking cookies and builds no profile about you.

How long we keep it

Messages from the contact form are kept for two years after the last exchange. If the enquiry turns into cooperation, we keep them for its duration and afterwards for the period required by tax and accounting law.

Error records are deleted after 90 days. Traffic statistics are anonymous and kept without a time limit.

Who we share it with

Zoho Corporation – the mailbox that receives messages from the form.

Hetzner Online GmbH – the server in the European Union that the site runs on.

Cloudflare, Inc. – verification that a human is filling in the contact form. It processes your IP address and technical details about your browser.

We share the data with nobody else, we do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. Both the statistics and the error records run on our own server, not at a third party.

Cookies

We use no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you will not find an annoying consent bar on this site.

We store exactly one thing in your browser: whether you switched to light or dark mode. It is necessary for the site to work the way you set it and it cannot identify you.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Just write to info@synaptic.sk – we will respond within one month at the latest.

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava.

Changes to this document

If the way we process data changes, we will update this text and change the last-updated date above.
